Jed Palmacci joined Calypso Medical Technologies, Inc. in December of 2008 with more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development and general management of novel medical devices and capital equipment.

Prior to joining Calypso Medical, Mr. Palmacci served as the Global VP of Sales and Service for the successful flexible robotics company, Hansen Medical. He was instrumental in executing early stage sales and marketing initiatives that contributed to a successful IPO in 2006 driving to a market cap of $750 million in 2007. Before Hansen Medical, Mr. Palmacci served as Sr. Director of Global Sales for the AcuNav ultrasound catheter division of Siemens Medical Solutions, a medical device company. He successfully developed and managed a global sales and distribution organization for a new catheter-based ultrasound imaging technology that is standard of care today. Mr. Palmacci previously served in regional sales roles for CooperVision Surgical and Surgidev Corp., where he introduced and marketed new devices in the surgical ophthalmology arena.

Mr. Palmacci holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Maine and has been granted one patent for the development of an orthopedic icing technology.
