Patient Video
Calypso's GPS for the Body® technology enables doctors to localize and track the tumor before and during each prostate radiation treatment. When the tumor moves outside of the field of radiation, therapy can be stopped and the patient is re-positioned to ensure that the tumor, not surrounding healthy tissue, receives the radiation dose. The patient education video provides you with an overview of the importance of monitoring organ motion during radiation therapy delivery. Click here to view the video.

“
I was concerned about the side effects associated with radiation therapy, including incontinence and impotence. When I researched my options for treatment, I learned about the Calypso System. GPS for the Body just made sense to me. Knowing that the radiation beam was directed at my tumor and not at my bladder and colon gave me peace of mind.”
